Young professionals joined ArtPoint for an after-hours reception and exclusive viewing of two special exhibitions: Royal Hawaiian Featherwork: Nā Hulu Ali’i, the first exhibition of its kind on the U.S. mainland featuring rare and stunning examples of the finest featherwork in existence, and Jewel City: Art From San Francisco’s Panama-Pacific International Exposition (PPIE), which marked the centennial of the San Francisco World’s Fair, and the Panama Pacific International Exposition (PPIE), and reassembled many of the artworks that were on view in 1915.

In a nod to the PPIE, we created our own Jewel City Fairground at the event featuring the some of the innovative companies found in the Bay Area today. Guests interacted with the Museums' own Beam Robots, got to speak with the CEO of Guidekick to learn more about the new de Young app, and had an opportunity to experiment with interactive projectors from Touchjet.

Thanks to our event partners The Aqua Velvets, and artist Jeremy Sutton for helping us bring the party to life!
