ABOUT LOST ART SALON: Designed in the fashion of an Early
20th Century European salon, this destination gallery features original Modern
Era art presented in an eclectic residential setting (think Paris 1920s meets
industrial urban loft). Our fine art collection is comprised of works by rediscovered
and historically significant artists (often from California). It reflects the
major styles and movements of the art scene in the early and mid 20th Century
(1900-1960s). We use restored period frames combined with archival framing
techniques.
Join ArtPoint for art viewing, complimentary
after-work drinks and snacks, and a brief presentation
by gallery Co-Founder Rob Delamater.
Event Chairs: James Gellas and Forrest Wittenmeier

Calling all game changers, boundary breakers,
iconoclasts and troublemakers. An evening celebrating
ideas and artists who push society forward. While
Impressionist painters now belong indisputably
to the artistic pantheon, these absinthe-swilling
bad-boys were actually the rebels of Paris. Join
us for a discussion on how these imaginatively
disruptive artists—pariahs in their day—redefined
the art world and a look at parallels with today's
internet-based creative networks. Panelists will
include:
- Moderator: Ken
Goldberg, Professor of New
Media, UC Berkeley,
- Heather
Champ, Director of Community, Flickr,
- Lynn Orr, Curator in Charge, European Art,
Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco
- Ken
Holden, Fine Arts Photographer
Join us for a lively discussion, and Pernod Absinthe
cocktails (the favorite of Vincent Van Gough)
provided by ArtPoint. Please Enjoy Pernod Responsibly.
Co-hosted by INFORUM, a division of the Commonwealth
Club, and the Contemporary Jewish Museum
